Donald Trump’s new National Security Adviser John Bolton has been exposed as one of the earliest customers of the election meddling/data harvesting firm Cambridge Analytica. According to the New York Times,
“The political action committee founded by John R. Bolton, President Trump’s incoming national security adviser, was one of the earliest customers of Cambridge Analytica, which it hired specifically to develop psychological profiles of voters with data harvested from tens of millions of Facebook profiles, according to former Cambridge employees and company documents.
Mr. Bolton’s political committee, known as The John Bolton Super PAC, first hired Cambridge in August 2014, months after the political data firm was founded and while it was still harvesting the Facebook data”.
Bolton used Cambridge Analytica’s psychological warfare techniques and surveillance of social media users to target gullible voters in various political races across the US in which Bolton would adopt varying personas in order to lure people into supporting pro-war candidates.
The Trump election win is thus far the most successful American political victory secured through voter meddling orchestrated by Cambridge Analytica, a company whose disgraced CEO Alexander Nix admits procured the use of British and “Israeli” espionage agents in order to discredit candidates running against their wealthy clients.
After winning in 2016, Trump apparently seriously considered recruiting Bolton as his Secretary of State. According to reports at the time, Trump passed on Bolton because the US President elect did not like Bolton’s Nietzsche style moustache. Now that Trump is in hot water over his relationship to a firm that makes millions off of destroying democracy in countries as diverse as the US, UK, India, Nigeria, Kenya and beyond, it appears as though he seeks the loyal partnership of a fellow Cambridge Analytica client.
What’s more is that while Trump ran a campaign opposing the political mainstream of Washington D.C., Bolton is a standard bearer for the still prominent neo-con faction in Washington. Some of Bolton’s flagship policies include being a fierce advocate of a regime change war of aggression against The Islamic Republic of Iran. Bolton has also advocated a ‘first strike’ against the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea.
The world has now reached the stage where in order to avoid scrutiny over his campaign’s dubious links to a dangerous foreign corporation that specialises in election meddling, Trump has brought on board a long time client of Cambridge Analytica but one who is very much part of the neo-con wing of the US deep state. This therefore offers Trump a layer of protection against claims of conspiring to meddle in the election, due to the fact that while both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump resorted to non-ethical and likely illegal election meddling techniques, so long as one toes a pro-deep state line, the mainstream media tends not to care about such breaches of human decency, let alone breaches of the law.
In order to keep Bolton happy, Trump may have to concede some foreign policy making decision to him. With North Korea on the verge of historic talks with the US, the most likely place where Bolton and Trump’s paths will rendezvous will be Iran.
Bolton has been promoting conflict with Iran for over a decade, while Trump’s friends in Tel Aviv continually push the US to adopt an even more extreme policy against Iran. So long as Cambrige Analytica is as associated with Bolton as it is with Trump, the US President may be shielded from criticisms driving from his procurement of the firm with close contacts to the British regime.
Thus, one could see the US aggressively attacking Iran in order to divert attention from the Cambridge Analyatica scandal while making an ‘acceptable’ face of Cambridge Analytica, John Bolton all too happy with the results.
Bill Clinton illegally bombed Yugoslavia partly to get his concubine Monica Lewinsky out of the headlines. Will Donald Trump now bomb Iran to get Cambrdige Analyatica out of the headlines? He will if John Bolton has anything to say about it. There is of course a chance that cooler heads might prevail, but the world is now one step closer to the war with Iran that the “Israeli” regime and many in the Trump White House openly want.
